Need Weather Books?

Welcome the Weather Classroom.

I am always looking for informative and interesting topics and decided to add some of the best I have found.  This classroom is divided into 3 main courses.

Basic Meteorology

Each module deals with a different weather phenomena and includes definitions, images and examples to fully understand the processes involved. Most of the modules are for all ages but I have included a section for elementary school kids. These are graphically-intense modules but well worth the time!

Radar Images

Covers a multitude of areas including how these devices send out and receive signals providing valuable information about the location and intensity of precipitation, advanced Doppler radar technology to provide high resolution reflectivity and estimated velocity data, which is vital to short term forecasting and severe weather prediction.

Satellite Images Examine weather satellites and their capabilities in greater detail, focusing on two satellite orbital groups in particular; Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) and Polar Orbiting Environmental Satellites (POES) and how to interpret visible, infrared and water vapor channel satellite images.

All of these modules and sections are provide by:
