This section will focus on the threat of severe weather including thunderstorms,
hail and tornadoes threats if they arise. I try to give an in-depth look at what I feel
may happen but mother nature likes to play tricks and thus, conditions may change. I update these once daily at varying
times unless otherwise stated These are not official forecasts ( I
am a hobbyist forecaster/storm chaser) Also, please use the other sources on the left as
they provide added insight to conditions in the region.

Discussion: |
The chance for
severe weather shifts into the U.S as the low pressure system heads to
the southeast. Most of the province will see mostly sunny skies today
except for areas in the Southern and Eastern Ontario. Bret is now a
tropical storm as it has weakened significantly over the last 12 hours
when it hit land. There are now more tropical depressions forming and
the latest , Tropical Depression 5, could affect the east coast by
this weekend. Check
the Atlantic discussion in the hurricane section for more information.

Tuesday: |
There is no
chance of severe
thunderstorms in Ontario.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected in the
Southern Ontario as a low pressure system rides the jet stream. The
best energy and precipitation values look to affect the southwest
where very heavy rains could fall during the overnight period. The
rest of the province will see mostly sunny skies except Eastern
Ontario where clouds will move in later this afternoon.

Wednesday: |
There is no
chance of severe
thunderstorms in Ontario.
Although no severe weather is expected,
showers and a few embedded thunderstorms may fire up today in Southern
and Eastern Ontario. The is a little
instability in these areas but the latest models indicated that most
areas will receive just a few mms or rainfall except the southwest
where up to 25 mms of rainfall could be expected by late Wednesday
night.
